# Keycloak Identity Provider Legacy Sync Mode

Hi,

On the Identity provider \> Provider details screen, there is a sync mode select: Legacy, Import, Force. What does legacy do? I read that it preserves the behavior from a previous version, but can’t readily find what that behavior is.
