# Keycloak export failed

With Keycloak Version 26.6.0  
the export of a realm not master failed with  
2026-04-22 11:34:04,010 ERROR [org.keycloak.quarkus.runtime.cli.ExecutionExceptionHandler] (main) ERROR: Failed to start server in (nonserver) mode  
2026-04-22 11:34:04,010 ERROR [org.keycloak.quarkus.runtime.cli.ExecutionExceptionHandler] (main) Error details:: java.lang.RuntimeException: Error while exporting policy [Default Policy].

I tested the export with 3 different keycloak instances.  
With Version 26.5.6 the export works fine.

Has someone any advise?

If it works with 26.5.x, but not with 26.6.x, then this sounds like a regression.  
I would open an issue in the Keycloak GitHub repo. Provide all the details you have.
